Time on a job site is money, and a full container with no swap in sight stops work. We run a small operation out of Silver Spring, so most of the county is a short drive for our trucks. That is what lets us deliver early, swap fast, and move a pickup by a day without opening a ticket.
When you call, you talk to someone who knows the trucks and the schedule. If there is a problem with access on delivery day, the driver calls you instead of just leaving.

Some contractors rent from us every week. Some rent once for a single job. The setup is the same: right container, right day, and a swap when you need it.

Swaps that keep the crew working
Call when the container is close to full and we will schedule a swap: we pick up the full one and leave an empty one. On a long job it is often smarter to schedule swaps as the container fills than to start with the biggest size. Tell us how long the job runs and how fast debris comes out, and we will suggest a plan.
Remember that pickup is not automatic. Call on or before the last day of the rental period. Each extra day is $10.

Roofing jobs: plan for the weight
Shingles are heavy. As a rough guide, a single layer of asphalt shingles runs 250 to 400 pounds per roofing square depending on the shingle. On a big roof, or a tear-off with two layers, the weight allowance runs out before the container looks full.
Give us the number of squares and layers when you book and we will match the container to the weight. For most single-family tear-offs a 20 yard works. On larger roofs, or when the debris is mostly heavy material, a 30 yard can reach its 3 ton allowance half full, and a 20 yard or two smaller hauls can cost less.
The county's Shady Grove drop-off does not accept shingles or roofing material from the public, so a roll off is the practical option for roof debris.

Heavy debris: concrete, brick, dirt, and asphalt
Concrete, brick, dirt, and asphalt go in a dedicated 15 yard heavy debris dumpster at a flat price. Call us to order it. Those loads hit the weight limit long before a normal container looks full, and they change how the load is weighed and where it can be taken, so they are never mixed in with general construction debris.

Job site placement and permits
The 30 yard is 18 feet long and 6 feet high, and the truck needs about 50 to 60 feet of straight approach with nothing low overhead to roll it off. Short townhouse driveways and steep slopes usually call for a 15 or 20 instead.
On private property no county permit is needed. In the public right-of-way on a county road, Montgomery County's Department of Permitting Services requires a dumpster permit and warning devices around the container, and says to allow one to two weeks. Rockville, Gaithersburg, Kensington, and the other incorporated towns issue their own permits, and numbered state routes go through the state. Permits are the customer's responsibility. No. Concrete, brick, dirt, and asphalt go in our dedicated 15 yard heavy debris dumpster at a flat price, because they change how the load is weighed and where it can be taken. Call us to order one alongside your regular container.

How renting a dumpster from us works
Clear a spot.
You do not have to be home for delivery. Move cars out of the way and make sure nothing is hanging low over the spot, like tree limbs or wires.
Fill it.
Load at your own pace during the rental period. Keep everything below the top rail so the driver can cover and haul it.
Call for pickup.
We do not pick up automatically. Let us know on or before your last rental day and we come get it. Each extra day after that is $10.
